Cammie Johnson, daughter of Mark Johnson, owner of Zanzibar Restaurant & Pub of Menomonie, and Lori Johnson of Grand Forks, ND was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes (T1D) when she was 10 years old. Despite her struggles with T1D, five days prior to her 21st birthday in 2007, she lost her battle to diabetes. Each year, more than 15,000 children and 15,000 adults - approximately 80 people per day - are diagnosed with T1D in the United States and at least 24 million children and adults in the United States have Type 2 Diabetes. Your attendance will provide opportunities for our LOCAL children and adults to live successful lives with diabetes.
